When I think summer wardrobe, my mind almost always go to stripes. My closet is becoming more and more filled with them....and I have a strong feeling I'll be pulling out my favorite blue & white striped top for the 4th! Hope everyone has a great Monday! I'm going to try to make this week as productive as possible even though its a short one (thank goodness)!

She's aliiiive! I took a bit of a blogging break - I just had a lot on my plate and therefore my anxiety was getting the best of me. The funny thing is though...blogging is more of stress reliever than stress causer for me. So I can't say that not posting was too helpful, but it was nice to just relax and put my computer away for a bit. 

I've done some major checking account damage lately so I thought I would share some of my recent purchases! Sadly the heels I picked up over the weekend are a lot pricier online than what I paid in store ($40!). Has anyone ever stayed at the Breakwater in Miami? I am usually so indecisive and do a ridiculous amount of research when it comes to hotels...but when I saw the price of this Groupon and the pretty pictures yesterday, I just went for it! My boyfriend has this shirt (a better view here) and I can't tell you how many compliments he gets when he wears it. He even picked it out himself from Jack Threads (he's addicted. I'm proud.). If the man in your life isn't familiar with Jack Threads - he needs to check it out! Anyway, I sort of overlooked this two-tone chambray trend until I saw his shirt. I'm usually the one dishing out the fashion advice but I can't take credit for this one :)

Speaking of the boyfriend, his birthday is tomorrow and I'm so excited to spend the weekend celebrating :) I'll have to hit "pause" on my boot camp haha. Hope you all have a great weekend! xo

These are literally the perfect Spring-Summer heels for me - metallic, laser cut, a 3" heel height (does being instantly drawn to a lower heel height mean I'm getting old??), AND they're on sale! I'm picturing them with white jeans, a tee, gold jewelry and a major tan.

I'm off to Atlanta to visit my bestie for the weekend :) woo hoo for 6:15 AM flights! HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE! xo

My Spring wardrobe would not feel complete without a white blazer. The ways to wear it are seriously endless - but I've chosen 4 of my favorites as inspiration! I have the white Silence & Noise Boyfriend Blazer which I love, but after picking up this blazer in black from Nordstrom recently - I am so tempted to get it in white as well. The slouchy fit is amazing and you really can't beat the price :)

This week has not been my best. A lot of recent changes in my life have proven that I'm not as strong as I thought; I need to challenge myself to have more patience, confidence, strength, and gratitude. And of course, staying positive is key.

When things aren't going great, I like to treat myself to something pretty. Healthy or not, opening a pretty package (or 2) after work is my happy place. The question is not which item above to buy - but rather what order to buy them in ;) Ok fine, I already bought the dress, the espadrilles, and maybe a new clutch. Whoops! You know what they say, "when it rains it pours packages..." Totally made that up.

Karlie Kloss for Moda Operandi

I have the biggest gal crush on Karlie...she's so beautiful and she has the personality to match. Plus I feel like I kind of (not really) know her because she's from St. Louis and we have lots of mutual friends. Soo yeah! Girl Crush! Anyway...I am obsessing over her Spring Campaign for Moda Operandi. 

The theme is  La Vie En Rose & I love everything about it - the florals and colors as well the black and white...which is hugee for Spring, as you probably know. I wasn't really sold on the whole black/white thing until seeing this campaign and Moda Operandi's Spring picks. Although I can't afford ANY of the pieces ($310 for a t-shirt, that's just some ignorant...you know the rest) they are fun to look at! Here are some of my favorites:

Line I Love: Sol Sana

So I do this thing when I'm browsing online (especially on sites like Shopbop) and I'm sure I'm not alone - I sort price "low to high". Maybe someday I won't have to do that, but for now it's necessary (unless I'm playing this game where I create my dream closet on a $10,000 budget. always fun). ANYWAY, I was checking out flat sandals and sorted in my usual way. I was so surprised when I saw what I thought were Rebecca Minkoff, Ancient Greek Sandals, or Loeffler Randall towards the top of my list! Turns out they were by an Australian brand called Sol Sana and range from $85 - $95! I'm loving the Ainslie and the Erika.

Attack of the Neon Rose

I try to be practical when shopping but sometimes it can be hard! I don't have a favorite black dress that I absolutely love...so clearly I should get this dress in black, right? Buttttt how can you turn down a dress in NEON ROSE?! I love the violet as well but I already have a violet maxi skirt that I'm dying to pull out this Spring. But then again, can you have too much violet? (probably yes). 

Hope everyone is having a great week! I've been exhausted/stressed/busy...I thought this feeling would peace out after college but apparently not. I can't wait to celebrate St. Patrick's Day and catch up on my favorite blogs this weekend :)

In college I owned a total of 3 pairs of flats, and they honestly didn't get much wear. If I wasn't in work out clothes (like, everyday) I was usually wearing heels to go out in. But now that I've graduated and work in a casual office...let's just say my "flat game" has grown a lot. I don't even want to admit the number of flats I've accumulated in the past 7 months.

I'm loving all of these fun options that will be perfect for Spring & Summer. I'm dying for this pair, but the texture on this pair is tempting too. Ok, maybe I want them all. Do you wear flats? Which pair are your favorites? 

Spotlight: Ted Baker

This weekend I got the chance to go to Bloomingdales for the family and friends sale. Definitely had no intentions of leaving there with anything, but then I came along Ted Baker's line and loved what he had this season. I immediately fell in love with so many pieces, yet my wallet couldn't handle it all. Just coming out of college I don't have much money to spend on clothes, but I can't help but wanting looking at gorgeous lines like this. I snuck out of there with the sweater on the top that I am completely attached to. Its so warm and cozy with a bit of personality; the rose gold zippers + elbow patches speak for themselves.  It will be great for many more seasons to come (which makes it a great buy in my book!). I also had my eye on this chic white dress with embellished shoulders. And those red leather gloves trimmed in purple, ah-mazing! I found this great peplum coat on his website. I love the bright blue, the shoulders, the collar, the peplum, the structure, soooo basically everything! This mustard peter pan collar top is another item I would love to have in my closet this fall. I might just have to wait awhile for that! Do you guys have any lines that you love this season? -M

I got the blues and by blues I mean Navy Blue! As always, Pinterest sparks a light bulb in my head and gets me inspired. I would love to have a dramatic navy and white room like the three above. Unfortunately, I do not have the house nor the money to make those dreams come true yet. One day that will happen, but until then I settle with clothes or accessories for my room.
