I hate to admit that all stripes aside, my closet is almost completely solid. I'm looking forward to adding more quality prints to my closet this season :)

Man Repeller x PJK Collaboration
Do we have similar styles? No.
Can I afford her closet? No.
Could I pull off 99% of what she wears? No.
Am I still obsessed? Yes.
Leandra Medine's style is fearless + insane + unflattering yet so flattering. Although our styles are different, I find her ability to layer, mix prints, and talk fashion so inspiring. Like my blogging bestie Chelsie mentioned yesterday in her Girls Got Style post, Leandra is TWENTY FOUR YEARS OLD. TWO. FOUR. She's clearly wise beyond her years, I would sound like a fool trying to talk fashion with her. She's...on another level. If you're not already following her witty + hilarious blog, please do.
Back to the point of this post - the Man Repeller x PJK Collaboration Collection! The look book features none other than The Man Repeller herself. The looks are definitely a toned down version of Leandra's style - which is great because they're wearable, yet still have some man repelling quirkiness in there. Personally I'm swooning over the tanks with the fruit. And I can't wait to see more of the black dress.

Bold Florals
I've always dressed...girly. That includes lace, bows, lots of pink, and of course florals. My style is constantly evolving and I love finding new ways to wear my tried & true favorites. Right now, I am loving bold floral prints. I find it a little edgier than the typical delicate florals. How do you like your flower print?

Flat Game
In college I owned a total of 3 pairs of flats, and they honestly didn't get much wear. If I wasn't in work out clothes (like, everyday) I was usually wearing heels to go out in. But now that I've graduated and work in a casual office...let's just say my "flat game" has grown a lot. I don't even want to admit the number of flats I've accumulated in the past 7 months.

Look for Less
I stopped in Forever 21 around 6:40 PM on Saturday evening to return something I ordered online that just didn't fit right. I told my boyfriend I'd be over at 7 for dinner. I thought I would just run in, make the return, and be on my merry way. Obviously not. Every time I go to Forever I struggle to dig for things I want, but of course - when I have absolutely no time, A MILLION things catch my eye. Does this happen to anyone else??
I picked up this top as it instantly reminded me of the Dolce Vita dress I'd been dreaming about. I also picked up this necklace, a vest, and a peplum top. Whoops. Don't worry, the boyfriend forgave me for being late ;)
For more of my recent Forever 21 picks - see THIS POST. From my picks I ended up ordering this skirt in lavender (OBSESSED! Is it spring yet?), this shirt, this tank in navy AND cream (runs big), and this scarf. I'll be doing another "Forever 21 Finds" in February by the way :)

Weekend Wear
I know it's only Thursday but my mind is on the weekend. I love simple looks that combine tons of basics like the one above - a white tee, dark skinnes, nude heels, a black bag, and gold jewelry. Pretty much my uniform. Add a splash of blue & voila! How amazing is the dvf scarf? On my wishlist :)

Spotlight: Kerry Washington
wearing J. Mendel and Peter Pilotto
Kerry Washington has been making quite the statement during the premieres of Django Unchained. I love these bold colors and ridiculous yet amazing silhouettes. She didn't only sport bold colors - she looked flawless in a couple of white red carpet looks as well. My favorite is the Giles gown below - it fit her like a glove.
wearing Giles and Prada
Kerry's inspired me to be a little bolder :) I also loved her Miu Miu dress at he Golden Globes the other night! OH and if you haven't seen Django - you should! I loved it. Quentin Tarantino has such a unique style - who else could put a Rick Ross song in the middle of a Civil War era movie and make you love it?
Have a great Wednesday :)

Pinspiration: Stripes + Skirts
Some recent Pinterest inspiration. Mixing striped shirts (one of my favorites) with fun skirts (another favorite). In college my roommate and I would sometimes just pin and pin and pin for hours and hours. I think I got burnt out. But now...I'm back in the game. Follow me here! I need some new peeps to follow ;)
Have a great Monday! It's crazy how much more I enjoy Mondays now that it's Bachelor season :)

Get the Look: Jessica Chastain
So, E!'s Fashion Police created a list called "Jessica Chastain's 5 Easy Ways to Ruin a Fall Coat" accusing Jessica of "stealing Barbie's bag". Ha, so of course I disagree & I love the look. The classic black and white with a pop of pink could go so wrong in so many ways, but I think Jessica pulled it off & it has me wanting to steal her look. What do you think - was Fashion Police right?
Shop more hot pink handbags & white coats below. And...for a bright pink lip color like Jessica's - you can check out my favorites on yesterday's post (obviously I'm not ashamed of my love of pink).

Lately I Love
I love Wildfox's Spring Lookbook inspired by Clueless. Click through it on Refinery 29.
I constantly am pinning black on black outfits - yet I've never tried to pull it off. It's my goal before Spring.
Definitely in need of a pair of tortoise cat eye sunglasses. Preferably Celine.
I was sick so I took it easy this weekend. One perk of spending countless hours in bed - lots of blogging gets accomplished :)
I usually try to eat low carb & as healthy as possible, but I recently fell off track. What better time to start again than the beginning of a new year? My boyfriend & I are being very strict all of January. Like, no cheat meals-no alcohol-almost paleo type of strict. Frittatas (like these) are one of our favorites for breakfast. I'm sure I'll share more recipes & information in the future.
My boyfriend should be on this list every week :) and how cute are these bowls?
Happy Tuesday! Enjoy your day.

Forever 21 Finds
Hi & Happy Friday! I've been sick all week so I've been doing a lot of laying & relaxing in attempts to feel better. It's definitely going to be a low key weekend for me.
I love the holidays & I love gift giving, but it's safe to say I may have gone a little overboard. My bank account is pretty much drained! That's where Forever 21 comes in :) I have a love/hate relationship with the store. I've never been good at shopping in their stores - they're too crowded, big, and over stuffed with a lot of things that look cheap (was that harsh?) BUT, I also love Forever 21 thanks to one of my favorite pastimes: online shopping. Although there is still a TON of merchandise to browse through, it takes out about 95% of the stress. And if I don't like something that I bought online, I can easily return it to the store & pick out something else.
Forever 21 has some great things on their website right now, so I went ahead and picked out some of my favorites. MANY of which are influenced (eh, copied?) by higher end pieces that I've lusted after but just can't justify purchasing (such as Tibi, Madewell, Parker, Free People, & J. Crew). How do you guys feel about Forever 21?

Look for Less: Sequin Blazer
I thought this blazer would be a great alternative to a sequin dress for New Years. & then I totally fell in love with it when Rachel of Pink Peonies styled the more affordable version.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas holiday. I couldn't have asked for anything more, I feel so blessed and fortunate for everyone & everything in my life. It was also my first Christmas in the "real world" aka I was able to afford to spoil my family & boyfriend a bit more than usual. The only downside is that I'm feeling pretty rough today due to the amount of alcohol and food that I've consumed over the past few days. MUST CLEANSE. -O

Color Crush: Cobalt
Obsessed with this color. After glancing through my closet - I realized I have almost nothing in this shade. I only have this scarf and a super old Michael Michael Kors blouse. Clearly not enough. So after the holidays I'll definitely be on the lookout for anything & everything cobalt. Do any of you have any great cobalt pieces? -O

Lately I Love
Why did it take me so long to try washi tape? I ordered some from the PrettyTape Etsy shop & I have been using it nonstop.
I also finally finished "growing out" my eyebrows (aka not touching them for almost 3 months...eek) so I've invested in some new products like this clear brow gel, this brow pencil, and after a recommendation from Chelsie of Mossypants - I purchased this brow kit.
Besides that, I've been shopping for tons of upcoming holiday events & I've been buying my favorite salad ingredients which WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT a good salad could change your entire day around?! -O

Kristin Cavallari for Chinese Laundry
(SHOP)
I will always & forever be Team LC. But I have to say, I was surprised that I really like Kristin's new collab with Chinese Laundry. My favorite is the pointed toe suede heel called Copertina (in nude, not green). The ankle strap pair totally remind me of a pair I have from Zara (I may even like these better), and for some reason I don't hate the mesh bootie, I actually kind of like it (mesh is not my thing).
Besides all of the shoes having weird names, I'm impressed! What do you guys think of Kristin's shoe collection?

Spotlight: Gray
I love gray. It's comfortable. And simple. And looks great with gold jewelry. Or a faux fur scarf. Or with ANYTHING. And it can be worn all year round (gray tshirt + white jeans in the summer is my fav). But right now I'm dying for Miranda Kerr's Isabel Marant Khan Coat. Slightly out of the budget, so I may just have to wait for the J. Crew Cocoon Coat to go on sale.
Hope everyone has a great Wednesday! -O

Gift Guide: For Him
2. Polo Ralph Lauren Socks (good stocking stuffer)
4. NFL Hooded Sweatshirt (pick his favorite team, obviously I'm working with a Cowboys fan here)
5. Nike Dri-FIT T-Shirt a note from the bf: Nike > Under Armour, loose fit not tight ;)
6. Nike Air Max
7. Nike Golf Balls I get golf balls for my brothers & dad every year as a side gift, it's something they need that they don't like buying for themselves.
9. iPad
13. Tickets to see his favorite band/singer or sports team
14. The Sandlot
Sorry for the horrible quality image, not sure what happened there. But anyway, putting together this gift guide was hilarious. My boyfriend was very helpful :) We didn't get as far as we wanted. Some other ideas: a nice watch, a new hat, or for that special someone - maybe even a framed picture of the two of you ;) As with gifts for anyone, the more personal the better.
Happy Monday! Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start. -O
