Line I Love: Sol Sana

So I do this thing when I'm browsing online (especially on sites like Shopbop) and I'm sure I'm not alone - I sort price "low to high". Maybe someday I won't have to do that, but for now it's necessary (unless I'm playing this game where I create my dream closet on a $10,000 budget. always fun). ANYWAY, I was checking out flat sandals and sorted in my usual way. I was so surprised when I saw what I thought were Rebecca Minkoff, Ancient Greek Sandals, or Loeffler Randall towards the top of my list! Turns out they were by an Australian brand called Sol Sana and range from $85 - $95! I'm loving the Ainslie and the Erika

What do you think? Have a great Monday! xo

Spotlight: Metallic Sandals

First, I know...SHOE OVERLOAD. I shared all of the spring flats that I want last week, and this week I'm sharing about 500 metallic sandals. BUT I CAN'T HELP IT. I love shoes. And I love metallic.

I need help deciding. Which are your favorites? I'm leaning towards the Rebecca Minkoff's or Loeffler Randall's. What do you think? Will you be picking up any metallic sandals?

Flat Game

In college I owned a total of 3 pairs of flats, and they honestly didn't get much wear. If I wasn't in work out clothes (like, everyday) I was usually wearing heels to go out in. But now that I've graduated and work in a casual office...let's just say my "flat game" has grown a lot. I don't even want to admit the number of flats I've accumulated in the past 7 months.

I'm loving all of these fun options that will be perfect for Spring & Summer. I'm dying for this pair, but the texture on this pair is tempting too. Ok, maybe I want them all. Do you wear flats? Which pair are your favorites?

Inspirational Friday

beautification project in Peru... doing good in the form of #play // Giving Trip TOMS kid child
#play time in Peru // TOMS shoes One for One
#play #TOMSshoes // Peru

The other day when I took a break from painting my dresser (pictures will come soon!) I noticed the TOMS Fall 2012 Catalog laying on our counter.  It was opened to a page of cute shoes, so of course it grabbed my attention. I went to the beginning just in case there were other shoes I missed and I was blown away. No, I didn't miss any shoes, but I almost missed the story of these children in Peru. I looked at the pictures and read the captions and couldn't help but tear up in my living room. I was so inspired. One of the pictures showed a child getting help putting on his shoe and the caption read "Some of the kids wanted a larger size...". They were more worried about their future which shouldn't be a child's concern!

Me, on the other end, I am worried about my future. I am at the stage of finding a career after graduation. I  was hoping after graduation I would have something figured out but I have no idea what path to take. Don't you wish someone would just tell you?! Well, whatever I decide to do I hope it is inspiring to others like TOMS shoes is to me. Just looking at these children's smiles makes me want to get up and do something good for my community. I encourage you all to take some time and look at the catalog or their blog.

Here are some of the TOMS I think are super cute. I already have 4 pairs but you can never have to many shoes, right? I also like how TOMS now has wedges, boots and other styles! I think my next purchase might be the sunglasses. Giving someone a chance for sight is a beautiful thing. Happy Friday everyone! Have a great weekend and do something inspirational and pass it along! :) -M

Flat Out Crush

Okay, I never thought I would admit this but I have a major crush on flats. One would think at 5'9 I would have more flats in my closet but for some reason I have always avoided them. Just because I am tall doesn't mean I can't wear heels! Trust me, every family get together I hear something along the lines of "Wow, did you get taller!?" For some reason this always bothers me but stubborn like I am, I purposely continue to wear heels around them. Well, all of that might change at our next family event. I actually have the striped pair from ShoeMint (mine are orange--in love!) and Olivia has the cute purple pair from Target (hers are pink). I am quite embarrassed I am just now realizing how cute flats can be. Happy Flats Shopping! -M

Glammin' Green

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend! My family from out of town came in for a family reunion and it was amazing to catch up with everyone! And to obsess over my cute little 6 month old nephew. My obsession over him and mint green still continues! I cannot get enough of this mint green. While shopping for my favorite look, I noticed a lot of things are going on sale since fall is on its way! Make sure to check out these great deals.-M
