Review: POPSUGAR Must Have September

I received my first POPSUGAR Must Have in the mail the other day & thought it would be fun to give a little review of the items. For those who haven't heard of this, basically it's a subscription & you receive monthly boxes full of "must haves" (similar to Birchbox, etc.). The subscription is $35/month + free shipping and you will receive $100+ worth of items. 

Call me cheap but $35 is a lot for me to shell out for a box of stuff that I didn't pick out. BUT! I found a code for 50% your first month - so I jumped on it! I paid a total of $17.50 (The code is SSFAN50). Then I forgot all about it. So I was pleasantly surprised when I had a package full of goodies on a random Tuesday :) Now I need to decide if I should spend $35 for the October box.

My favorite item! This scarf (retails for $84) almost has a tie-dye appearance, its super soft, HUGE, and I love the fringe. Thumbs up. 

I can always use another pouch - unfortunately this one smells funny (cheap materials).

Super excited about this because I love Benefit! My biggest complaint - the packaging. I wish the bronzer & eyeshadows could be removed/had lids so I could toss them into my make up bag rather than having to carry the entire box. They call it a travel set, but let's be real - this isn't the only make up you're going to bring on your trip.

At first I thought it was weird to eat food that came in the mail (or maybe I'm weird?) but I'm addicted to anything sweet potato and I ended up opening up the salted caramels 5 seconds after taking this picture.

(Side note: the Pop-Up Bakery package contained not only a cookie, but a coupon code for a free delivered dinner! I'm excited to try that out!)   

I had never heard of this brand, but I checked online and it is EXPENSIVE. $25 won't get me very far. Anyone know anything more about it? The card also says to call the salon in NY to use. Not feeling it. 

I love Cucumber so I'm excited about the towelettes. And how cute is this notepad? I love Rifle Paper Co! Already brought it to work and it's sitting cute on my desk :)

I already own and read the book (years and years ago) but I'm super excited about the movie tickets! I thought this was a really great idea! You claim the tickets through  Fandango. I'll be dragging my boyfriend to this one :) 

Overall, I was super happy with the September box. I didn't look up prices for all of the items but I definitely feel like this was $17.50 very well spent :) 

I haven't decided if I should keep my subscription (and pay the full $35 for the October box) or not. I love that everyone receives the same exact products. I feel like every month I'm disappointed with my Birchbox because I see what others received that didn't come in my box that I would have preferred. I also like that these are mainly FULL SIZE not sample items. 

 What do you guys think? Is it worth the price?
